Central Asia AIDS Control Project
The overall purpose of this assignment was to conduct assessment of the situation with regular, sustainable and multi-variant (not only syringes) access to disposable medical tools in institutions primary working with HIV-positive patients and partner institutions (infectious hospitals, emergency rooms, paediatric wards) in 4 countries.
- Provide assessment of the MoH documents (Prikazi) about availability of DMT in the hospitals and regulations about its use and utilization.
- Interviews with the head doctors of thee selected hospitals will be provided to realize how the process of planning and needs formulation is done.
- Assess the most critical issue of funding, its allocation and distribution for DMT procurement and supply.
- Assess on site procedures and regulations as for the use of equipment and its utilization.
- Facilitate discussion of survey draft reports in the sessions with all interested specialists in each country aiming to receive comments;
- Submit four final reports of each country to Central Asian AIDS Control Project with the corresponding recommendations.
