Consulting Group Curatio Ltd (former Curatio International Consulting? Ltd) (CGC) (www.curatioconsulting.com) is an independent privately owned company operating within the intersection of public and private sectors. The company was established in 2006, by a group of Georgian experts with the goal of providing consultative and advisory services in Healthcare, Social sector, Strategic Planning and Institutional Capacity Development area to the governments of developing and transitional countries, international & non-governmental organizations (NGO/CBOs) and private sector.
Since establishment, company developed necessary organization structures, systems and procedures for consultant search, mobilization, contracting, deployment and backstopping in the field. We have implemented projects and provided consultancy services, which contributed to the reforms of health sector in the various countries of Eastern Europe and Former Soviet Union. In our work, we focus on building and developing counterparts? capacity of both individuals and institutions, thus achieving long-term sustainable solutions.
CGC provides multi-disciplinary teams taking responsibility for all technical and administrative aspects of project management in countries working alongside with national counterpart staff. Our project management teams institute set and defined project management procedures, which we see as necessary tool to monitor progress and control quality, keep relevant staff informed of performance to provide opportunities for lesson learning. Due to its ?hands-on? experience, CGC has been able to form a network of western and eastern consultants who brought our clients the best in service, support and results.
We have made significant contributions to health sector reform processes in many CIS countries. Our consultants also work to ensure health priorities remain on the agenda in the rapidly evolving context of new aid instruments and national policy frameworks (such as Sector Wide Approaches, Direct Budget Support and Poverty Reduction Strategies).

CGC provides technical assistance at all levels of governments and stakeholders from senior ministerial staff and policy decision makers through to increasing capacity in training provision and administration. In all our work, we emphasize building the capacity of both individuals and institutions, thus achieving long-term sustainable solutions. We deliver high quality services that are responsive and flexible.
Since its establishment, the CGC has managed to blend Western quality expertise and approaches with good knowledge and understanding of the CIS region socio-cultural and political specificity, which led to expanding operations beyond Georgia?s boundaries and allowed company to undertake over numerous consultancy?assignments for a variety of international and national clients in about 10 countries within Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EE&CA) region and beyond. We use our corporate database of over 300 individual freelance consultants with expertise in many different disciplines. Our company generates country/region specific evidence, which is used during consultancy assignments and helps inform custom-tailored policies and project designs in countries where we work. This focused approach allows CGC to bring extensive CIS region-specific experience enriched with the experience from other countries/continents, and therefore offer context-specific, custom-tailored and workable solutions to the clients.

CGC relies on the experience and expertise of its shareholders. The Company was established in May 2006, merging the consulting and training experience of several Georgian experts. Aware of the globalization processes and the modern trend to merge a wide variety of diverse services to achieve the most dynamic results, we succeeded in pooling together international experts and establishing a dynamic business. Company shareholders not only fulfill important corporate functions within the firm, but are also active as consultants in the field. They keep a constant eye on the objectives and progress of individual projects; coordinate the activities of the consultants and ensure smooth communication among all parties involved. Together, they cover the broad range of skills required in all areas of operation. In addition, Company operates a database of national and international consultants (over 300 individuals), which is growing fast and enables us to select teams of the most qualified and effective professional and technical experts to match the specific and sometimes changing needs of clients, as well as the capacity to assemble consortia for larger assignments.
Dr. David Gzirishvili is a specialist in health care policy, system reform and financing. He has over 10 years? consultancy experience in Georgia and Central Asia with USAID, UNDP, DFID and The World Bank. Recently, he was responsible for the development of financial estimates of different options for the Basic Benefit Package in Azerbaijan. For the World Bank, David conducted the financial analysis of the operation of ambulance services in major cities in Georgia. He has participated in the development of health care financing options in Georgia, coordinated the preparation of the Second Georgia Health Project and the Human Resource subcomponent (Hospital Optimization Component) of the Georgia Structural Reform Project. As Organization Development Team Leader, David delivered on-job training to key technical staff of the Georgian Ministry of Health. Within the last few years, Dr. Gzirishvili worked on public health and policy development related issues in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia assisting the countries with the development of national financial sustainability plans for the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization and the Bill Gates Foundation Vaccine Fund. Throughout his career Dr. Gzirishvili have conducted participatory appraisals, development of programmatic strategies and facilitated numerous time policy dialogues between national governmental, donor communities, international, local and non-governmental representatives on social and health care issues.
Dr. Akaki Zoidze?s fifteen year professional experience draws on: (i) public sector work for more than seven years, out of which three years I held key positions in social and health sectors of Georgia and the last two years served as the Deputy State (Prime) Minister of Georgia, during which he led public policy development, high level policy dialogue and number of major reform efforts in health and social sectors; (ii) five years of senior level project management experience in health sector of transition countries with international organizations where he managed multi-national teams; (iii) more than ten years of consulting experience with the World Bank, UN agencies, USAID, EC, DFID and other international organizations, which allowed him to enrich the knowledge of health systems and health reform initiatives throughout the region and contribute to health policy development and capacity building in transition countries, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kosovo, Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan and Russia.
Dr. George (Gegi) Mataradze brings over 15 years of experience in management in international organizations, including design, implementation, management and monitoring and evaluation of international development projects. Specifically in the following areas: Health care reform (at macro and institutional levels) & Health System Strengthening (HSS); Strategic Planning & Organizational Development; designing and managing multi-disease health projects in developing and/or middle income countries (including HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, AI). During entire professional career, Dr. Mataradze always operated effectively as a manager with proven capacity and ability to improve implementation executing management by objectives/results approach. Dr. Mataradze is a specialist in development and use of Result Based Monitoring and Evaluation Systems. His experience of managing multi-million dollar projects in complex emergencies gives him an ability to motivate and guide project staff, collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, provide innovative support for the improved design, planning, organization and management of programs and processes; build effective personal and organizational capacities. Besides managerial skills, Dr. Mataradze brings significant experience of management, working at the policy level with host governments and diplomatic missions and development oriented organizations as well as grassroots institutions.
We are looking for professionals in all technical areas relating to health, but we are especially interested in hearing from consultants who have strong skills in communication, capacity building, facilitation and team leadership.
